PLAN*B NEWS: PLAN*B at the Helsinki Conference Date: 1 Sept 2005 - From: Aura Seikkula
PLAN*B has been invited to the Helsinki Conference 2005, 7-9.9.2005 on the issues of globalization and democracy. PLAN*B is approaching the themes of Helsinki Conference from the point of view of the Marginalized Voices together with the Citizens’ Global Platformin (CGP). By the Marginalized Voices we want to give considerations to cultural, ethical and spiritual values, groups of people and nature that are not adequately taken into account in processes of governance.

PLAN*B REFERENDUMS
PLAN*B Referendums are going on right now! The voting time started
for all the Referendums on Monday 24 Jan but the ending times
vary - check Referendums page for detailed info. The first Referendum
finishes already on Wednesday 2 Feb and the last one on Sunday
6 Feb. A large video screen opposite to Finnish Parliament House
is displaying information about the progress of the Referendums.

PLAN*B - AN ALTERNATIVE PARLIAMENT HOUSE
PLAN*B FOR ARKADIANMÄKI is an alternative Parliament House.
It has its home opposite to the Finnish Parliament House, in Kiasma
Museum of Contemporary Art. The name of the project refers to the
location of the Finnish Parliament House - Arkadianmäki ('Arcadia
hill') is the Finnish Capitol Hill.
PLAN*B FOR ARKADIANMÄKI presents alternative views on how we
can share our opinions and influence the world around us. The project
consists of a series of Referendums on the Internet and public events
at PLAN*B headquarters.
